FAMILY HISTORY
The Forbes and Shipper families banded together in 1945. Morris Forbes, founder of the famous “Forbes Baking Company” and Isaac Shipper, a real estate investor in New York City. Isaac’s son, Saul, took charge of the real estate side of the family business. The other son Bernard, moved into the corporate world. Bernie went to work for Zale Jewelry Company in 1948, and was part of the tremendous growth story that became Zale Corporation.
Ronnie Shipper is President of Forbes Shipper, LLC a family owned real estate company. Born in Galveston. Family moved to Knoxville. Grew up in Knoxville, attended Webb Prepatory School. Moved to Dallas and attended Hillcrest High School. Went to the University of Texas and graduated with BBA in Finance.
Ronnie worked for Beer-Litwin and Company after college and learned the real estate business working with Martin Litwin, Bob Beer, Steve Lampenstein and other experienced real estate professionals. In addition to real estate, Ronnie has been involved as a private investor in a automotive advertising and frozen custard business.
